Global Accounts Manager

Reports to: VP of Sales & Marketing 

Job Objective:

Responsible for the development and management of all sales activities in the following assigned territories: Pacific Rim, China, and Korea. Works to meet and beat sales targets within these territories while maximizing profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the territories by working with existing accounts and distributors, in addition to establishing new accounts and distributors.


  • Develops a sales strategy for the assigned territories that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

  • Follows up with sales leads generated by Luminit’s marketing department.

  • Documents all sales activities in Luminit’s customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

  • Travels to territory on a periodic basic, approximately every 2 months.

  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.

  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive quotes to all prospects, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

  • Creates and conducts company presentations in the territories.

  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

Internal / External Cooperation

  • Sets examples for Sales Engineers in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.

  • Maintains contact with all accounts in territory to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates ability to interact, cooperate and solve problems with all internal departments.

Job Specifications:

  • Required: 5-7 years of experience in selling into one or more of the following market segments: High Technology, Display or LED Lighting.

  • Required: Experience selling into Pacific Rim, China or Korea.

  • Experience selling optical components, LEDs or diffusers preferred.

  • Willingness to travel internationally.

  • Proven ability to increase profitable sales.

Research and Development Technician

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research and Development Technician to join our growing business of optical system prototyping and transition to manufacturing. You will join a diverse research and development staff and help to support the proof of concept, prototyping and production of our new and cutting-edge products for our customers and for our product line. Our small company atmosphere (~70 employees) specializes in taking on interesting and diverse challenging projects from private and government customers and we are eager to add talent to our exceptional team! A successful candidate has concrete and demonstrable optical testing skills. This Full-Time Position reports to the Holography Group Leader.


  • Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Build/test optical mechanical assemblies from work instructions.

  • Accurately perform repetitive tasks.

  • Optical lens handling, alignment, and assembly procedures.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine method and sequence of assembly.

  • Build/install electrical parts and cabling in housings and assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools.

  • Conduct incoming, in process and outgoing quality inspections.

  • Familiarity with complex optical system and mechanical assembly alignment.

  • Interferometer setup and testing experience.

  • Familiarity with benchtop optical prototyping and lasers.

  • Use of digital multimeters, micrometers, calipers, microscopes.

  • Assist engineering and scientific staff.

  • Basic computer skills – Email, MS Word, MS Excel.


Technical education and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in electro-mechanical or optical assembly or test.


Ability to read and comprehend and write in English.  Ability to read and compose technical descriptions and work instructions, document experimental results, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation superiors and other employees.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Quality and EHS Technician

Luminit is a fast growing small company in Torrance specializing in optical diffusers and holographic optical elements. 

Position Overview

The Quality and EHS Technician’s responsibilities will be to maintain the Quality Lab, perform metrology as required, and keep all measuring instruments under calibration.  He/she will also be required to participate in the implementation of the Illness and Injury Prevention Program and in hazardous materials management. He/she will work in a team environment working closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering departments.


The Quality and EHS Technician will be accountable to head of Quality and Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Quality and EHS Technician will be responsible for the following:

  1. Measure any parts submitted by Production, Engineering, or Sales

  2. Write FAI and QC Test reports.

  3. Maintain all instruments in calibration and update Calibration Record.

  4. Conduct Periodic Safety Inspections and prepare and maintain Hazard Correction Record.

  5. Attend Monthly Safety Committee Meetings and prepare minutes of the meetings.

  6. Other assignments in the area of Quality and Environmental Safety and Health as needed.

Knowledge and Skills

The Quality and EHS Technician will strive to continually improve skills in areas relevant to discharge of responsibilities, particularly in the following areas:

  1. Use of Microsoft AX system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  2. Ability to read Engineering Drawings and understanding of material and product specifications.

  3. Awareness of Environmental and Safety regulations

The Quality and EHS Technician will possess the following skills and personality traits as a minimum requirement:

  1. Calibration and use of all instruments required for Quality inspection

  2. Good in Arithmetic, Algebra, and reading / writing English

  3. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  4. Ability to work in a team environment and be a willing contributor

  5. Ability to take meeting notes and write simple reports.

Education and Experience

The candidate should have an Associate degree from a recognized college.  He or she should have the work ethic and ability to complete assigned tasks as demonstrated by a minimum of three months of internship or work experience in an industrial environment.  The candidate should have interest in learning and working in the areas of Quality Inspection and Environmental Health and Safety.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.  Occasionally, may be required to lift up to a maximum of his or her personal capacity. This requirement may be waived temporarily due to a medical condition.

Citizenship and US Residency Requirements:

US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence Visa required.


This is an entry-level job full-time position with a starting pay rate of $10 to $12 per hour. While the position is anticipated to be permanent in the near future, it is an “At Will” position and the company reserves the right to eliminate the position or terminate employment at will.
