Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the Supply Chain/Manufacturing module in our Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system.  He/she will create and provide reports and data to the stakeholders in a timely manner. In addition, he/she will provide technical support for the ERP system, including configuration, testing, integration, and security. The position includes interaction with Manufacturing, Sales, Finance and other company functions and outside consultants to gather requirements, build solutions, resolve issues and coordinate testing and validation.

The Industrial Engineer’s role requires mastery of all aspects of the manufacturing function, including developing product routings, part number creation, standard costs creation (BOMs, touch time, yields, etc.), report creation and data analysis. It will require exceptional analytical and organizational skills, results focus, and a clear understanding of the Supply Chain/Manufacturing function in a manufacturing environment.

The Industrial Engineer will report to the Supply Chain Director and will be based in Torrance, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing activities for optimum Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation and interface with all Luminit functions

  • Become the primary technical support interface for ERP with the business areas for issues, upgrades, training and enhancements

  • Develop tools to effectively produce product and platform reports which summarize revenue, margin, costs, raw materials, inventory, etc.

  • Ensure the design and implementation of the D365 solution enables efficiency, ease of administration, visibility, and optimization of the Manufacturing function

  • Help to implement aligned manufacturing strategies and processes across multiple locations

  • Interface with Sales and Engineering on new product developments, and sales and operations planning and forecasting

  • Maintain an adequate flow of information between all business areas and corporate stakeholders

  • Establish and follow best practices for ERP

  • Generate measurable operational gains in terms of workflow efficacy, resource utilization and service excellence

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or technical field

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AX

  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing processes needed for manufacturing excellence including sales and operation planning and forecasting, costing, inventory and working capital optimization and management of supplier and distribution activities to support business functions

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and end users

  • Advanced Microsoft Office technical skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, etc.)

  • APICS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications is highly preferred

  • Six sigma, 5S training preferred
