Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement into production, and sustains photo-lithography processes in support of the light shaping micro-optics (LSM) using automated and semi-automated equipment.

  • Work on photosensitive coatings and exposure by UV light sources, development, inspection and metrology for the development of refractive and diffractive optical parts

  • Manage and troubleshoot direct-write-laser (DW) toolsets used for photoresist exposures

  • Characterization of photoresist coatings using standard semiconductor equipment such as UV-VIS spectroscopy and profilometers

  • Implements process control plan and monitors process output via SPC charting or other tools as appropriate

  • Analyzes process monitoring output data and oversees continuous improvement programs to improve process capability, capacity and process optimization

  • Author and implement process control plans and standard operating procedures with outputs monitored using statistical data and other tools as appropriate

  • Drive improvements in manufacturing for yield increment and defectivity reduction

  • Responsible for process performance metrics

  • Work together with engineering disciplines related to processing, equipment, quality, environmental, health and safety, ensuring production readiness in support of meeting schedules/ deadlines

  • Troubleshoot efforts and ensure processing issues are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner

  • Responds to production issues and drives to root cause analysis in a timely manner

  • Responsible for leading weekly engineering group meetings.

Requirements: 

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Three years of experience in any job-related occupation. Three years of experience to include data analysis, matrix manipulation, and system design (JMP, SPC, MATLAB, Mathematica, Design of Experiment (DOE) Principles and Judgment of Multi-level processes and design iteration, Photolithographic processes (Thin Films, Diffusion, Planar, Implant, Litho, Etch, and/or Metrology), Plastics Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing, and/or cleanroom/Fab Work Experience, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing of 2D and 3D Microstructures.
