Optical Research Scientist

 

Position for Ph.D. with 3+ years experience in prototyping in the following fields: optical holography and imaging, PPLN frequency up conversion nonlinear optics, phase shifting interferometer, integrated photonic devices, MEMS switch, infrared detection, optical coherence tomography, electro-optics, and solid state and fiber lasers.  Skills in theoretical modeling and simulation, set up test optical breadboards, developing mechanical engineering design, packaging miniature electronics system, and transition breadboards into brassboard/mature prototypes is a must.  Proficiency in ZEMAX, MATLAB, FEMLAB, BPM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro-E, LabVIEW, C++, VP, OrCAD or related tools is a plus.
