Materials
Planner
Luminit,
a dynamic and rapidly-growing manufacturer of optical display products, is
seeking an experienced, results-oriented Materials Planner. This high-profile position will interact
extensively with all internal departments, as well as customers and suppliers,
and will manage all aspects of Purchasing, Materials, Inventory Control and
Shipping. In addition, it requires
extensive involvement in QA and Production issues.
Minimum requirements
are a BS degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, and at least 3-5
years experience in Purchasing and Materials, in a manufacturing environment. APICS certifications are a strong plus, as
are direct experience in Quality, Accounting, MAS 90, and Inventory Control/MRP
systems. The requirement above all is
strong management and interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the proven
ability to successfully manage a department in a changing, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities

Purchasing

Purchasing
of all raw materials, equipment, supplies, and services

Coordination
of all outsourced operations

Development
of new suppliers and outsources

Materials
forecasting
n
Aggressive
cost reduction in all areas
Materials / Inventory
Control

Implementation
of the MAS 90 inventory system
n
BOM
development and manufacturing costing maintenance
n
Physical
inventory and annual audit
Shipping / Receiving
n
All
incoming and outgoing shipments
n
Processing
of P/Ls, Invoices, COCs, etc
n
Improvements
in packaging and shipping methods
n
Aggressive
cost reduction in all areas
Quality
n
Maintenance
of Production and Quality records
n
Receiving
Inspection and other QC tests
n
RMA
and Evaluation process
n
Other
aspects of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality System
